HAMNASA, in partnership with the UNFPA Timor-Leste, continue to improve the capacity of the health system in Timor-Leste to respond to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) by providing training for health professionals.

This training, a collaboration between HAMNASA and the National Institute of Public Health of Timor-Leste (INSP-TL), was conducted over six days to 75 health professionals including health managers, DPHOs, doctors, midwives, and nurses from the municipalities of Aileu, Manufahi, and Ainaro.

The objective of this training is to enhance the knowledge and skills of frontline health professionals to provide care that is based on survivorsโ€™ wishes and needs, delivered with compassion, confidence, and effectiveness. Through comprehensive learning sessions, participants have strengthened their knowledge and practical skills to deliver high-quality care to GBV survivors.
