ย HAMNASA is thrilled to announce that The Mobile Birth Registration campaign has brought opportunities to families across five municipalities in Timor-Leste: Baucau, Viqueque, Ermera, Liquiรงa, and Dili! This initiative made it easier for parents to register their children closer to home, ensuring every child aged 0-5 not only gets registered but also receives a birth certificate immediately and free of charge.
More than ๐๐๐๐ children are now officially registered and received their birth certificate, marking a brighter future where they can access education, healthcare, and social protections under the law. This success also underscores the importance of building a sustainable and integrated registration system, ensuring every child in Timor-Leste can benefit from this fundamental right, no matter where they live.
This activity is financially supported by UNICEF, led by the Ministry of Justice through the Directorate of Notary Registry Services, and implemented by Catalpa, HAMNASA, and local partners.
