HAMNASA is an implementing partner under the Nabilan Program, a long-term Ending Violence Against Women and Children (EVAWC) Program, funded by the Australian Government and implemented by The Asia Foundation. The gender-transformative Positive Parenting Program aims to address the intersection of violence against women and violence against children. There are 18 three-hour sessions for couples on topics such as: gender and power; fatherhood, maternal and child health; caregiving; healthy relationships; joint management of household resources; preventing violence and resolving conflict.

  • Main impact: All three communities have shown positive changes from pre to post-test from both men and women in gender attitudes, menโ€™s attitudes on sexual violence, attitudes and behavior on violence against women and violence against children.
  • Follow-up data showed that men were highly interested in the session topics and women have noticed an increase in menโ€™s involvement in household tasks and more discussions on how to manage and spend money.
